Asthma can itself be unpleasantly dangerous at times and as orthodox medical treatment can be extremely effective, this seems a bit hard on them. As we have the defense forces to protect our country from its enemies, we have the immune system within the body. Again, just as the country’s defense forces are trained to identify the enemy and attack it, our immune system identifies the body’s enemies like bacteria, viruses, etc. and eliminates them.

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory lung disease, characterised by recurrent breathing problems. Asthma results when triggers (or irritants) cause swelling of the tissues to the air passages of the lungs, making it difficult to breathe. Typical symptoms of asthma include wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath.

Thunderstorm-related asthma simply refers to the triggering or worsening of asthma due to rainfall or thunderstorm. Thunderstorms have been linked to asthma epidemics, particularly during the pollen seasons. A few of these epidemics have been well documented, including the epidemic of 24/25 June 1994 in southern and central England.
