The Best Western Hotel Le Donjon hotel is located in the city centre of Carcassonne and was established in 1960. The Hotel has an ideal position inside the walled city. This hotel is a very charming, historical property offering good, modern facilities. The hotel consists of several buildings, in which guests can be accommodated: le Clos de Trincavel, Le Donjon ( the reception is in this building), La Maison des Remparts and le Comte Roger. The guest rooms have been individually decorated in a sombre style. They vary in size, from small to large, and are all in very good condition. All 62 rooms are equipped with minibar, hairdryer, safe and air conditioning. The hotel has a dining room inside the main building, but the main restaurant is a very chic, modern brasserie, just across the road, set in a renovated traditional building. The hotel also offers a bar, a conference room and a coffee shop. The hotel is a traditional, terraced stone building. The lobby is a large, but narrow area, with several cosy sitting areas, very well-appointed and has a definite medieval atmosphere. It has a small, modern bar area.
