The Best Western Sole Hotell and Herregaard is beautifully situated by Lake Kroderen, and has a private park where guests can enjoy the fairytale landscapes which inspired the storytellers Asbjornsen and Moe. Norefjell Ski Resort is only a 15 minutes drive away, and offers you a variety of Alpine slopes as well as 75 miles (120 km) of cross country trails. During the summer the ship M/S Kryllingen stops at Sole's Pier to pick up passengers. It takes guests for a tour on the fjord and it is possible to enjoy a meal and drinks on board. The trip also includes a visit to the fairytale museum Villa Fridheim, one of Norway's best preserved wooden houses. Norefjell also offers a golf course of International standard.
