In Roman times, the area of Cefalicchio was an important passageway through the rich countryside of Canosa by way of via Traiana. The Masseria of Cefalicchio was constructed in 1700. The Rossi family, who are the current owners, transformed the estate into their private residence in 1900. Currently, hilly vistas encompass approximately 110 hectares of olive trees and grape vines that create a typically Mediterranean feel. Like the restaurant and the cellar, the villa enjoys electricity provided by solar panels everyday of the year. Limestone walls, pines, cypress and aromatic plants surround the swimming pool. The terraces with views of Murgia and the Gargano and the antique sitting rooms are at your disposal for afternoon drinks and evenings of music and conversation.
