The Alter Speicher is the sister hotel of the Alter Speicher in Luebeck and it is run by the same family. The hotel is located in the historic centre of Wismar. It is an old listed building which has been totally restored to its original beauty. The front of one part of the building is erected in a Rusty red. The other part of the hotel is the former warehouse still featurning the wooden doors for each of the three storeys from which goods were loaded or unloaded. The spacious lobby is laid out with grey tiles and the walls are covered with wood half way up. The other half and the ceiling are painted in white. The lobby features an open fire .Next to it and in the centre of the lobby is a white seating area furnished with white leather sofas. The restaurant is on two levels. It features the old original beams and partly the original brick walls. The other walls are painted in white and feature murals depicting scenes of the City. 0208SO Traditional north German 'Hanse building' with a red brick front and in the typical shape of the listed buidings of this time. The traditional restaurant on the ground floor offers local and international food.
