The ground where the hotel stands today was a tavern for travellers as early as the 14th century. In 1802 a man named Peter Mollberg purchased the tavern and replaced it with a 2-storey building which has been continuously renovated and expanded ever since. One of the advantages of a historical building is the natural variation of all 104 rooms including the 7 suites. They all have their own special charm which makes the returning visitor pleasantly surprised. The amenities on the other hand do not vary; all rooms include minibar, hairdryer, trouser press, a comfortable desk and of course wireless internet access. The in-house restaurant, Caf le fil du Rasoir, is a modern French brasserie with a menu of all the French classics in carefully updated versions.
