It is the starting point for ferries that provide fjord tours as well as transportation to the places of interest for which Sogn is famous. 03/11With 30 bedrooms ranges of sizes and budgets; The Fjordtell has been completely designed and constructed by local artists. Typical Scandinavian design. Gudvangen Fjordtell is the ideal place to begin a tour of the Sogn area's many attractions. The restaurant and cafeteria is located in the main building of the Fjordtel with a beautiful view of the Naroyfjord. One third of the roof in this building is made of glass so you can enjoy the view of the fjord even during inclement weather. Inside the restaurant there is approximately 250 seats and on the terrace there are 200 seats. All furnitures in the restaurant are designed using a pattern from the Urnes Stave church, and made by local craftsmen. On the terrace there is a grill house called "Langilden". The grill is open between the 15th of June and the 20th of August on days without rain. The cafeteria is open between 10.00 am and 19.00 pm every day from April to October. In June, July and August we offer a dinner buffet in our restaurant between 19.00 and 21.30. In the months of April, May, September and October there is an a-la-carte dinner serving between 19.00 and 21.00. In the restaurant a breakfast buffet is served between 07.00 am and 10.00 am. The Fjordtell is designed in a Viking style from approximately 1000 ad. The entire interior is designed and manufactured by local craftsmen, with inspiration from old Viking findings which give the interior a touch of nostalgia. Large lobby area and gift shop
