La Posada de Alajar is a renovated inn dating from the 18th Century where you are surrounded by the history of its walls and chestnut beamed ceilings. Centrally located by the village square with its restaurants, bars and shops everything is close to hand. 8 en suite cosy rooms, cheerfully decorated, ensure an enjoyable and comfortable holiday. All rooms are equipped with heating and air-conditioning systems, powerful showers, heated via solar panels, deluxe mattresses and pure cotton sheetsThe traditional breakfast served buffet style with local and homemade products, a large selection of olive oil, organic wholemeal and white bread from wood fired ovens, fruit, juice, organic walnuts and cereal along with excellent coffee, and a wide choice of teas help set you up for the day. Guests may help themselves to hot drinks in the upstairs lounge where we offer a selection of regular, fruit and herb teas, instant coffee and decaf. We have a library with reference books about the surrounding area and also plenty of reading books for you to borrow or swap. Free WIFI is available in most parts of the hotel. A 3 minute walk takes you to La Posada de San Marcos where you have access to the private garden and heated outdoor swimming pool which over look the Rivera de Alajar and cork oaks beyond - a sanctuary within an already quiet and tranquil village.
