"Uporu" island, known as Taha'a, is a wild little paradise located 230 km west of Papeete in Tahiti , in the Society Islands Archipelago. The resort is located on Motu Tautau on the coral reef, facing the island of Taha'a on the lagoon side and offering a great view of Bora Bora island on the ocean side. 5 minutes by boat from the island of Taha'a and 35 min by boat from Raiatea Island. Taha'a has a pleasant vanilla aroma in the air; this is grown by the locals along with watermelon and copra. The island is flower shaped, surrounded by soft mountains and small motu with sandy beaches. Le Tahaa is the ultimate and exclusive hideaway of very nice beaches and sparkling waters. Beach volley ball, kayaks, outrigger canoes, table tennis, snorkeling, tennis, wind surfing, sunset cruises, shark feeding, jeep safari tours and 4 wheel driving are some of the things to do at this magnificent resort. Le Tahaa has recently constructed several brand-new amenities, including a state of the art fitness centre, a specialty fare at the Manea Spa, an entertainment and relaxation room and a new dive centre.
