The most important towns near the hotel are Piedras Blancas (the capital of the district) and Salinas. The district borders Aviles, only 5 km away, in the west. Castrillon is an important tourist area, due to its many magnificent beaches. Some beaches close to the hotel include: Santa Maria del Mar, the impressive Playon de Bayas and Playa de Bahina. They are all linked by a footpath of great beauty, a genuine delight for hikers. As you get further away from the coast and enter the more rural interior, you will find two particularly interesting places: The Aberdales Cave with its remarkable stalactite and stalagmite formations, and the Pulide Viewpoint, from which you can admire a scenic view of the whole district.
