The hotel is built right on the shores of Lake Ashi, near Mount Kamiyama and Mount Komagatake, in the centre of lush natural surroundings. The grandeur view of Mount Fuji and the nearby forests can be enjoyed. The many historic sites in the area will take you back in time to the Edo Period. It takes about 45 minutes by car from JR Odawara Station by Bullet Train or 30 minutes by car from Hakone-Yumoto Station on the Odakyu Line. There are also several direct buses from Shinjuku, Tokyo to Hakone-en, where is there an amusement park next of this hotel. There are several buses within the Hakone area. It takes only 2 minutes by shuttle bus from main building and famous Hakone-en. The hotel once called "Prince Lakeside Annex" which is located in the famous resort facility "Hakone-en". The Hakone-en provides various facilities, such as, outdoor hot spring baths, tennis courts and trekking a long the shore of Lake Ashi. This is also one of the key sightseeing spots in Hakone and a rope-way for mountain, trekking, shopping mall, restaurants and a bus terminal are all within the resort. There is shuttle bus service inside of the large resort for enjoying all facilities including restaurants and amusement spots. On clear days, all guests are able to enjoy the magnificent view of Mount Fuji over Lake Ashi. A modern, 2-storey white building in deep forest. Some buildings connect via corridors on the hillside. A small lobby with a high ceiling reaching to the 2nd floor with wooden walls. There is some seating space. All rooms are medium sized and with facing wood land views Lake Ashi. They have simple decor with cream colored furniture. The bathroom is medium and in good condition. There is an Italian restaurant at this hotel with wide opened windows facing lake Ashi. There are also several restaurants in this hotel property, accessed by shuttle bus. 130 kms to the airport (narita), 20 km to the nearest station (odawara station), 20 kms to city centre, 35 km to the nearest fair site (pacifico yokohama), 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 80 kms to the airport (haneda).
