Rebak Island Resort-A Taj Hotel, is the only resort on the privately owned 390 acre Rebak Island that commands a magnificent view of the Senari Straits bordering the Andaman Sea with a pristine and secluded beach. The Rebak Island, named after the native Rebak tree, is one of the 99 isles that make up the legendary Langkawi. The island is blessed with a tropical climate, stunning rock formations, a lush forest that goes back a million years, picturesque waterfalls and fascinating caves. Rebak Island is ensconced by crystal-clear waters, teeming with marine life that is perfect for a range of water sports and recreational activities. The hotel has the only fully equipped Marina in Malaysia. Set away from the mainland, the island enjoys an exclusive and tranquil ambience. It is 4 kms away from the main island of Langkawi and 15 minutes luxury ferry ride from Port Langkasuka jetty The resort offers a choice of luxurious accommodation, dining, services and activities that makes it a perfect holiday destination and romantic seaside retreat. The soothing whisper of waves, the fragrance of flowers and herbs and the comfort of sheer luxury set to offer a truly special tropical paradise. * The resort will undertake refurbishment & touch up with effective from 20 Feb s-- 15 May 2011, operating from 9am s-- 6pm. During this project, all the facilities are operating as normal except the tennis and volleyball courts will not be available. The swimming pool area is approx. 20meters away from the construction and will not be affected. There may be some noise that can be heard on the grounds of the resort and minimal visuals of the project in progress will be seen by the guest, however the work area will be away from the vicinity of the existing guestrooms. The resort will ensure minimal noise, air pollution and also safety of guests.
