The Rock Glen Country House Hotel is a beautiful hotel positioned on the coast. We are situated on Ardbear Bay, just south of Clifden, on the west coast of Ireland. Originally built in 1815 as a hunting lodge, the Hotel has an unrivalled view of the Twelve Bens mountain range as you look over Ardbear Bay - the perfect location to get away from it all. Golfing enthusiasts will be delighted to hear that the spectacular setting of the Connemara Golf Club, an 18-hole championship course, is only a 15-minute drive from the hotel. Connemara is perfect for hill walking, as well as for river, lake and sea-fishing. If you want to go pony-trekking (Connemara is famous for its ponies), we can arrange this for you. We have a full-size snooker table, as well as an all-weather tennis court and croquet lawn for your pleasure. We can even arrange clay-pigeon shooting on request. From Clifden, take the Ballyconneely/Roundstone road for a mile, then turn right at the Connemara Pottery crossroads. We are just a half mile from here, well signposted.
