The Scandic Kuopio hotel enjoys an excellent location on the shores of Lake Kallavesi, approximately 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Kuopio. It lies between the harbour and Vinlnniemi Park and is around 1 km from the town centre. The hotel is a completely modern structure, built from white and mustard-coloured stone. The lobby area is medium-sized, with dark marble floors and use of gold ornaments. This hotel is in a superb location. The rooms are small and in very good condition. They are attractively furnished in modern style and colours. Predominantly the colour schemes are light beige and grey with pattern designs which give a fresh look to the rooms. The bathrooms are also in very good condition. Guests are sure to feel at home in these traditional rooms, which come with wooden laminate flooring. Guests can enjoy pay-per-view movies on the TV, or get to work at the desk. The rooms come with en suite bathrooms with a hairdryer, and offer king, queen, single or twin beds.
