Sekisho-in is an old shukubo (temple lodging) located inside Mt. Koya, which is one of the famous UNESCO World Heritage sites of Japan. The temple was originally found in 923 and its huge garden are also famous. Surrounded by a thick forest of cedars, you can experience Shojin-ryori (Lenten fare of vegetarian dishes) at this temple lodge. You can enjoy its quiet atmosphere here in Mt. Koya which is the headquarters of Shingon Buddhism in Japan and you can feel its religious culture in this shukubo. It has 60 guest rooms, and 2 banquet halls. The only room type is Wa-shitsu(Japanese style room) without toilet. All rooms are equipped with tooth brush, bath towel, face towel, TV set, telephone, yukata(Japanese style nightgown) and air conditioner From Kansai International Airport(KIX), Osaka, Take Nankai Railway at Namba to Gokurakubashi Station. Then transfer to a cable car to Koyasan Station. From Koyasan station take a bus or a taxi to Sekisho-in. With ten-minute by bus to the Ichi-no-hashi-guchi stop, and one minute-walk from the bus stop. You can visit most sightseeing spots in Mt. Koya by walking, such as Kongobuji which is the head temple of Koyasan Shingon Buddhism, Danjo Garan, a complex of temples, halls, pagodas Okuno-in or the Inner Sanctuary, is just a minutes walking from the temple and you can see a vast cemetery that features numerous famous Japanese samurai ruler such as Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
