This tranquil setting of riverside meadows was transformed in the late 18th Century by a local entrepreneur William Reynolds, who connected the Shropshire canal with the River Severn by introducing a new canal through the meadows and by 1793 the canal was fully operational Nestled alongside the bridge and running down to the river in more than five acres of landscaped grounds is The Woodbridge at Coalport where the staff and myself welcome customers old and new to this idyllic setting where our attentive and friendly service should make your visit enjoyable and encourage you to return time and time again. The Woodbridge can offer five letting rooms which are available for long term or short overnight stays with riverside views from four of the rooms.
