This unusual German guest house accommodation specializes in taking guests on horseback rides through the beautiful natural areas of the Emsland district near Meppen, not far from the Dutch border. The Triple Star Guest Ranch has stable of horses, a paddock, a tack room, a round pen, and a riding area. Guests can bring their own horses or ride those owned by the ranch. The staff can provide riding lessons and lead rides through the forest; additional charges apply. Visitors may spot deer, roe deer, hare, and wild boar. The ranch staff also rents bikes to guests. A breakfast buffet, included in the room rate, is served each morning in the ground floor living space; a rustic 3-course meal is prepared each evening. At the end of the day, many guests enjoy relaxing with a book in front of the large wood-burning fireplace. The town of Sogel, northeast of Stavern, is best known for Clemenswerth Palace, an elaborate hunting lodge built between 1737 and 1749.
