Viru Backpackers has a superb location on Tallinn's main Old Town street. Viru (which means Estonia in Finnish is a tiny cozy place and mostly suitable for those who want it a bit more quiet and relaxed. The hostel contains mainly private rooms, sized from singles till 4 bed rooms. Some of them have a great view overlooking the buzzling Viru street. Eccentric paintings, made by an Estonian artist, and nostalgic Soviet posters add to the character of the hostel. If you like the idea of having a bit more privacy, but at the same time you want some hostel action too: no worries, you are welcome at Tallinn Backpackers to hang out and party there, or to use the free sauna. It's only a few minutes walk between both buildings and you can ask the staff in Viru to make a call in advance to heat the sauna up for you before you get to the Tallinn Backpackers building. Viru Backpackers has in total 7 rooms which can accommodate in total 17 persons. There are 2 singles, a double, a twin, 2 triples and a 4 bed room. We have a flexible allocation system that gives you the chance to book the triple and 4 bed rooms as twins and doubles as well. Depending on the season, some rooms might function as dorms. All rooms are furnished and the beds are prepared with linen and a The-Kitchen-in-Viru-Backpackerstowel. You will get your own set of keys to your room and the building allowing for 24 hour access. There is a common area where you can watch TV and DVD's, or meet up with the other guests. For those who want to prepare their own food, we have a small but fully equipped kitchen.
